A public art project celebrating the community values of Delaware, Ohio
Art For Everyone: The Delaware Mural Projectwas a public art process that engaged and amplified the voices and experiences of residents in Delaware, Ohio. The project created memorials to collaborative moments and community values in temporary and permanent public art engagements.
In September 2018, the Ross Art Museum at Ohio Wesleyan University hosted a series of free and open to the public information sessions to dialogue about an upcoming public art opportunity in Delaware.

In February and March of 2019 more public sessions were held at Conger Elementary School, Ohio Wesleyan Hamilton Williams Campus Center, Andrews House, and Second Ward Community Center with the intention of expanding the project to other parts of the Delaware community.
In April 2019, the project featured multifaceted workshops with the collaborative creation of artifacts, celebrations, public performance installations, and digital documentation to foster new connections and build community.
In February and March of 2019 more public sessions were held at Conger Elementary School, Ohio Wesleyan Hamilton Williams Campus Center, Andrews House, and Second Ward Community Center with the intention of expanding the project to other parts of the Delaware community.
In April 2019, the project featured multifaceted workshops with the collaborative creation of artifacts, celebrations, public performance installations, and digital documentation to foster new connections and build community.
The resulting public artworks featured words and images created by Delaware community members that made their learning visible. The artwork modeled transformative ideas about what the practice of art can be, its societal benefits, and how it can be a force for personal discovery and mutual understanding.
