Painting Studio 116 with windows overlooking San Francisco Bay became the location of a place for praxis - reflection and action.Participants determined the directions of their learning daily while I worked intensely each night to modify and fine tune the experience.

Each day started with meditation—Tuesday with mindful orange eating. Sometimes we did more familiar things, but with non-traditional processes producing extraordinary outcomes.

We used a variety of materials to cultivate our thoughtfulness. People provided individual expertise and choice to address collective action. We practiced being mindful individually and practiced collective strategies that improved the group.
